Things to do while watching the longest match in tennis history...

I made the mistake of turning on the TV yesterday to see if Isner or Oudin were playing at Wimbledon. I'm rooting for the Georgia folks even though I'm not particularly fond of tennis.

Little did I know I'd be sitting in front of the TV 6 hours later, watching the longest tennis match in recorded history. I didn't get anything done all day! They played til dark, and the match resumes today.

So today I'm ready: I've made a list of all the things I can do to be productive while watching a tennis match at the same time. Maybe it will help you squeeze a little productivity out your tennis watching, too. One critical point: you must turn on every TV in the house or the list doesn't work.
  1. Laundry (fold in front of den TV)
  2. Clean kitchen (den TV)
  3. Pedicure (den TV)
  4. Change sheets (bedroom TV)
  5. Clean out sock drawer (bedroom TV)
  6. Work on fake tan (bedroom TV; move to den once tanner dries)
  7. Sort books (den TV for younger books; man-cave TV for chapter books)
  8. Catch up on filing & bill paying (man-cave TV)
If the match stretches past a couple hours, I have this extended list of things that can take all day if you need them to... choose the best TV in the house and don't forget your laptop!

Update iPod playlists
Organize recipes
Organize photos on hard drive

Personally I'm hoping Isner stomps Mahut quickly so we can all get on with our lives and I can forget there's a tennis tournament in England. But I'm ready for another painful, all-day event just in case.... come on Isner, you're still a Dawg!
