In the process of attempting to swap donated adult books for points or store credit to get children's books, I noticed nobody will take the John Grisham or Dan Brown books. It made me think about all the books I've purchased in my lifetime, and where they ultimately end up. Where will the gazillion copies of Twilight be in 10 years, when nobody wants to read them?
I'm a die-hard library fan now; have probably only purchased 1-2 books in the 2 years I've lived in Athens. But I can't be self-righteous about it; I used to spend thousands a year on books, sometimes paying full price for a new release hardback. Where are they now?
Anyway... I ran across this article on Library Thing about the Top 25 Unwanted Books. And it explained why I can't find any takes for Grisham or Brown. Enjoy!
PS - if you have any of the top 25 Most Wanted books, I'll take them! They'll be the easiest to trade for children's books and I'm keeping my eyes open for them at the thrift stores.
